다음 명령어를 실행하여 Docker 팀이 제공하는 설치 스크립트를 실행하면, Docker 팀이 관리하는 PPA가 추가되고 최신 버전의 Docker가 설치된다.
$ curl -sSL https://get.docker.com/ubuntu/ | sudo sh
이 명령을 실행하기 위해서는 관리자 권한이 필요하다.
실행되는 스크립트의 내용은 아래와 같다.
- Check that HTTPS transport is available to APT
if [ ! -e /usr/lib/apt/methods/https ]; then
apt-get update
apt-get install -y apt-transport-https
fi
- Add the repository to your APT sources
echo deb https://get.docker.com/ubuntu docker main > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/docker.list
- Then import the repository key
apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://p80.pool.sks-keyservers.net:80 --recv-keys 36A1D7869245C8950F966E92D8576A8BA88D21E9
- Install docker
apt-get update
apt-get install -y lxc-docker
- Alternatively, just use the curl-able install.sh script provided at https://get.docker.com
