Roadmap[편집]

Now Ubuntu Korea Community has became most active community in Linux in Korea.
Since new Korean team council is started, we made effort to make online and offline platform seperately.
And our community is one of the fatest mover link to corporation and university.
Korean team suggests a new roadmap for next 2 years and next generation team.
We have managed just online and offline part, since now we will approach multiple direction in education, support startups and contents circulation.

  1. Education
    1. Study Courses
      Korea community has operated some subjects of studies for last 1 year which can be related to Ubuntu. (Raspberry Pi, Voice recognition, Nodejs, etc.)
      We will operate more various subjects of studies to participate more people who are interested in various fields.
      Purpose of operating studies is making a studying environment which is spontaneous and sustainable.
      Finally people will have an interest in open source and will be able to get more contributors for Ubuntu.
    2. Related to university
      03 / March / 2016 Kookmin university requested to become a partner of '2016 Software-centered university business' as community partner.
      We responded by sending a LOI(letter of intent) and we will help university and their students as course development, capstone design mentoring, co-op education, etc.
    3. Good quality of seminar
      We reduced regular seminar once a month to once every two months. But we invited better speakers who are experts of special parts, evangelists, and heavy user.
      We will keep present speakers' presentation data, Youtube, and live seminar.
  2. Support startups
    1. Technical consulting
      Sometimes startups using Ubuntu need technical help on online or offline. We will make a sub rule of Korea Community for official help.
    2. Give a chance to announce technical know-how on seminar
      Startups also need to appeal people how much they have amazing techniques and which part is related to Ubuntu. we can provide a session if they need.
  3. Contents circulation
    1. Use Facebook page and group
      Each loco teams know we're losing people because of social network services. We are already operating a group in Facebook and will positively use Facebook page as a Ubuntu contents publisher.
      We cannot write all text data in own Wikipedia. But we can share and introduce good blogs and articles about Ubuntu. By sharing these data, we can expose more Ubuntu contents, approach people.
    2. Use own localized Wikipedia and ask platform
      Actually Korean team has operated localized Wikipedia service, but unfortunately, lost almost data by accident 2 years ago. So we made a new Wikipedia by using Mediawiki and will update regularly.
      We will also try to gather good data and tips for Ubuntu.
  4. Others
    1. Documented
      Korean team got official loco certification in 2009, but we almost lost or couldn't documented how to operate each parts, contactor, events manager, wiki manager, etc. Even we had no sub rules for loco community.
      So we will make documents for effective operating and hand over for next generation team as manuals.

  1. Seminars
    Seminars activities last 4 years.(We couldn't added 2016 activities on wiki.ubuntu.com because it is not editable.)
  2. Studies
    Korean team has led some subjects of studies since 2015. We are preparing more study teams to participate more people.(The follow links are written by Korean character)
  3. Competition
    We held competitions for middle school students, and high school students to take part into open source.
